The Wantagh PTA Council and 6-12 Association are sponsoring tonight’s “Meet the Candidates” event starting at 7pm. The event will take place at Wantagh High School auditorium. A few weeks back, voters were encouraged to send questions to the East Nassau League of Women Voters’, who will be moderating the event. Tonight offers the best opportunity for Wantagh residents to hear directly from the candidates on key issues facing our school district.
Having served the Wantagh community for nearly 10 years, Kera McLoughlin has made the decision not to run for re-election. Laura Reich is running for re-election. In addition to Reich, candidates running for the two open positions on the board include Dawn Conlon, Jessica Elmazi, Jennifer Perfetti and Jennifer Strauss. Wantagh residents can vote for up to 2 candidates to fill the two open trustee positions on May 17th.
